How are portraits created?

The portrait session begins with selecting the background scene in which you want your child portrayed.  Unique outfits (optional) most of which can be slipped over street clothes and props are employed to enhance the theme.  Your child is then posed and photographed against a black screen.  Later, during the processing stage, the black screen is replaced with the background of your choice.

Is it OK for my child to wear their own clothes?

Yes certainly, you may want to discuss what your child intends to wear with the photographer …they may have some helpful suggestions.

Is there a target age for children?

Event Portrait outfits and backgrounds are designed for children of all ages; newborns to teens.  Mothers with babies particularly like our method of photography because they can actually hold their child during the portrait session.  Later, at the processing lab, the mother can be removed when the backdrop is blended in.

How long will it take before I receive my portraits?

Your portraits will be available for pick up within 14 days.

Are Event Portrait photographic prints permanent?

Yes, we use only the finest Kodak print paper and chemicals.  Our print quality exceeds the industry standard for clarity and longevity.

If I purchase a CD, will the photo session images display my background choice?

The images on the CD display the black background only.

What if I am not happy with the results of the photo shoot?

Some days children just are not that into being photographed. No worries, there is no charge if you are at all unhappy with the shoot and we are always happy to book another session.

What if I am not completely satisfied with my finished portrait?

Again no worries, although it rarely happens, we will be happy to refund your money.

Please note that, due to wide scale scanning and copying, the refund policy does not apply once printed portraits have left the photographer’s studio or place of business. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you take the time to look at your photographs before taking them home.
